We eat a lot of cabbage, but with only two of us, we’ve found it difficult to keep a cut cabbage head from browning before we can use it all.

Then I discovered this trick: Save one of the large outer leaves and use it as a cover for the cut surface. Magic! The cut cabbage stays green and fresh until you need to use it again.
