This October, take part in the American Solar Energy Society’s National Solar Tour to visit green homes near you. This event is not one but hundreds of local affiliated solar tours across the United States, and it’s a great opportunity to hear homeowners talk about their real-life experiences with renewable energy.

The official date is Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 but many communities schedule tours earlier or later, so visit the American Solar Energy Society website for details on a tour near you.
