Get to know Sukita Reay Crimmel of Claylin and From These Hands, and Bryan Welch of Ogden Publications.

What are you going to speak about at the MOTHER EARTH NEWS FAIR?

Saturday June 4th at 10am, Natural Building Today.

SukitaWhat are you most looking forward to sharing with FAIR attendees?

That there are big leaps in permitted natural building projects that are making it possible for more natural building.

Tell us about your background with your particular topic.

I have been a natural building contractor for 10 years.

Why should fairgoers attend your presentation?

I am going to pour a little earthen floor, yes getting dirty!

What are you most looking forward to at the FAIR?

Meeting people.

What advice do you have for attendees?

Take breaks, drink water, sit down and go outside.

If you were stranded on a deserted island and could only have one thing, what would you choose?

A machete.

What are you going to speak about at the MOTHER EARTH NEWS FAIR?

I will speak about my book Beautiful and Abundant Saturday at 11:00 AM on the MOTHER EARTH NEWS Stage.

How will you get to the FAIR, and how far do you have to travel?

I’ll have to fly from Kansas with my friends and colleagues, but I think it’s worth it!

Bryan What are you most looking forward to at the FAIR?

The best thing about the MOTHER EARTH NEWS FAIRS for me is the chance to meet people who are inspired by the same things that inspire us – self-reliance, sustainability and a positive vision for the future.

What advice do you have for attendees?

Make sure you leave time to meet and chat with your fellow fairgoers. Friendships can grow in places where like-minded people meet. Also, don’t hesitate to reach out and connect with the speakers. They come and speak because they want to make those connections.

If you were stranded on a deserted island and could have only one thing, what would you choose?

If I were stranded on a desert island, the one thing I would hope to have would be fishing tackle. :-)

Thank you both. We'll see you at the FAIR!
