Learn how to control Japanese beetles with a non-toxic natural spray for the garden.

To help control those nasty Japanese beetles without using dangerous pesticides, you can do some preventative maintenance in early spring. Control Japanese beetles with a non-toxic natural spray that is easy to put together from household items. Spray your yard with a light mixture of dishwashing detergent and water. This also reduces the surface tension of the water and allows your plants to soak up more water. Do this several times every couple of weeks in the spring (March to April) before larvae hatch, and you will notice a big difference in the number of beetles. Now you just have to convince your neighbors to do the same!
