Photo of the Week: Blowing in the Wind

Photo of the Week Blowing in the WindWith the blue sky as a backdrop, these wind turbines whirl in the wind to create energy — renewable energy. That renewable energy could be powering the very computer you are on right now.

Just in the last few years, and even recently, the push for alternative energy has sparked change around the world. Clean Energy Investments Soar to New Record talks about the rising funds, more than $240 billion in 2010 alone, that went into clean energy.

Another aspect of wind energy that has changed is the job market. A few years ago, not that many people would have thought to go to school to operate wind turbines. Now my very own brother is at school for exactly that. So to me, those big white blades spinning in the air don’t just remind me of the clean energy expansion but also of my brother.
