Bonners Ferry makes “Great Places You’ve (Maybe) Never Heard Of” list

Bonners Ferry, Idaho, population 2,515, begs to differ with a spot on Mother Earth News’ fourth annual “Great Places You’ve (Maybe) Never Heard Of” list. Mother Earth News, the leading magazine dedicated to sustainable living, features 11 selected communities in its October-November issue, on sale Sept. 22.

The magazine cites Bonners Ferry’s evolution from a logging town to one with an active local arts scene, a commitment to local business and the Native American Kootenai tribe’s environmental efforts as a few of the reasons to spotlight this Idaho town.
