The spiced carrots I made for Thanksgiving yesterday were a big hit. I harvested the carrots a few weeks ago from our office garden, and cooked them with fresh garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt and lemon zest. What a fun treat to get to grow something, then serve it to others during a beautiful, festive meal.

Sometime when you take a break from snacking on turkey sandwiches and leftover mashed potatoes (yummm), we’d love to hear about the homegrown veggies you served for Thanksgiving. What garden favorites always grace your holiday table? Did you try any new varieties of greens, potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, apples, or other fruit or veggie that you and your guests really loved?
