Our FAIRS bring living wisely to life with hands-on workshops in organic gardening, country skills, renewable energy and more.
What are you going to speak about at the MOTHER EARTH NEWS FAIR?
I will be sharing about bioregional herbalism. Basically how to utilize herbs that grow right around you.
What are you most looking forward to sharing with FAIR attendees?
I am looking forward to sharing recipe ideas and about incorporating herbs into daily life.
Tell us about your background with your particular topic.
I am apprentice-trained by herbalist Susun Weed and have been working with plants for close to 2 decades. I am a student of the plants and they never cease to amaze me.
Why should fairgoers attend your presentation?
They will be inspired by practical, simple approaches to working with plants.
How will you get to the FAIR, and how far do you have to travel?
My partner John Holzwart (the broom maker) and I will drive a van which we converted to run on vegetable oil. We will travel from Sheboygan, Wisconsin. I grew up in Pennsylvania and am looking forward to spending time in my home state!
What are you most looking forward to at the FAIR?
I am looking forward to the wonderful workshops. We attended the FAIR in Washington and also really enjoyed the wonderful conversations with fairgoers, vendors and particpants alike. I imagine the same will be true at this event.
What advice do you have for attendees?
Attend both days, as it is a lot to take in! Plan on being inspired!
If you were stranded on a deserted island and could have only one thing, what would you choose?
Too many things to choose... but practically, a good knife.
Thanks, Linda. We'll see you at the FAIR!
Keep an eye out for Trivia Ticket Tuesdays and Trivia Ticket Thursdays for your chance to win two tickets to the FAIR!
