Use a paintbrush to cover tiny garden seeds during seed starting.

Some vegetable seeds are tiny and difficult to cover with your hand or a trowel. I have found that using a paintbrush allows me to brush just the right amount of soil onto the seeds without disturbing them or planting them too deeply.
