The Rocky Mountain Seed Alliance (RMSA) has joined the mounting grass-roots efforts to fight the monopolization of seeds. Founded in 2014, RMSA offers practical information on seed saving to bolster seed security for everyone — farmers and consumers. The staff — including Bill McDorman, formerly of Native Seeds/SEARCH — offers intensive educational programs on starting community seed libraries, exchanges, grower cooperatives and heirloom seed companies. Courses include a six-day on-site Seed School and a seven-week Web version called Seed School Online.
