Hiya readers — I'm Tabitha Alterman, one of your happy editors! I'm working on a community garden project near my home in New York City. This East Harlem garden, known as Chenchita's Garden, really needs a little TLC. If you can spare some garden seeds, transplants, tools, organic fertilizers or other resources, just shoot me an e-mail at [talterman @ MotherEarthNews.com] with the Subject Line "Harlem Garden." I'll let you know where to send the goodies, and we'll be soooo grateful. And if you happen to know gardening experts in the NYC area that might like to help, please let me know that too.

Thanks for your time and your support of worthy MOTHER EARTH NEWS endeavors!
Tabitha

I have posted your article on our website, greenbuildingdigest.net/Green Landscaping. You might want to look at our Community Garden Department. But I'm sure you have all things well in hand.Good luck.

Tabitha, I don't know how big your garden plot is, but I'd be so happy to contribute some seeds for Northeaster Pole Beans. They are the best tasting raw flat beans I've tasted--they rarely make it to the kitchen, and I also let them dry on the vine for making baked beans and soups. Original seeds came from Johnny's and last year's beans were super! If interested, please let me know where to send them. When I do cook the beans, I just microwave them for about 90 seconds with a bit of butter and nutritional yeast---yum!!!! Blessings, Alice Rockey
