MOTHER EARTH NEWS and Your Garden Show are teaming up in the Fabulous Food Garden Contest to find attractive and productive food gardens. If you love your garden and growing your own food, join Your Garden Show to show off your harvest and garden photos— you may end up winning $500 and the chance to be featured in MOTHER EARTH NEWS! Fabulous Food Garden Contest

How to Enter:
Join Your Garden Show and create a profile for your food garden. You’ll want to write a description about what you’re growing (and maybe why) and upload pictures of your garden. Close-up pictures of your homegrown harvest are great, but for the purpose of this contest we want to be able to see your full growing space, so make sure to include some more general shots. A detailed profile, active Glog (gardening log) and featured photos can help draw more members (and hopefully votes!) to your garden.

Once you have a profile (or if you’re already a member) go to the contest page page and click the Sign Me Up! button to join the contest. If you’re already a Your Garden Show member, feel free to add new, updated photos of your garden—they could improve your chances to win.

Voting and Results:
Your Garden Show members will vote on their favorite food plots to decide the top 25 gardens (those 25 will be notified by email). From that list the two winners will be chosen: One “Editor’s Choice,” picked by the MOTHER EARTH NEWS editors, and one “People’s Choice,” for the garden with the most Your Garden Show votes. Each winner will receive $500 and the chance to have their garden featured in MOTHER EARTH NEWS. If you want to encourage friends and family members to vote, go right ahead! They don’t need to have a garden to be a voting member of Your Garden Show, and everyone can vote once per day.

The contest ends November 1, 2011. Read the official contest rules and find tips for winning at Your Garden Show. Good luck gardeners!
