Announcing the US Launch of the Aerobin® 400 — The Only Composter Anyone Will Ever Need*:

• Reservoir at the bottom collects leachate – highly concentrated liquid fertilizer.
• Attractive addition to any outdoor space.
• *Engineered to have a life expectancy of 15-20 years.

composterAustin, TX –  The innovative composting technology in the Aerobin 400® was developed in Australia to serve the growing need for superior aerobic composting systems worldwide but especially in Europe, the UK and the US. Organic waste represents 30-35% of landfill and the European Union placed proper disposal as a top priority. If homeowners have space, they must compost on their property using aerobic systems to help reduce the greenhouse gases resulting from large scale anaerobic methods that are used commercially. This demand drove the advancement for innovative technology that is foolproof. After proving to be successful in Australia where conditions are similar to Europe, the Aerobin 400® was launched in 2009 in Europe, the UK and the US.
The Aerobin 400® uses a patented aeration core inside an enclosed bin to promote aerobic break down of organic matter. The double wall thermal insulation in the Aerobin 400® conserves heat, leading to rapid breakdown of the biomass and greater efficiency year round, even in cooler regions. There is no need to turn the biomass and it is pet and rodent resistant. There is little odor and the heat kills noxious weeds and seeds.
Aerobin® technology was tested by the Swinburne University of Technology Environment & Biotechnology Centre, Melbourne, Australia where its superior performance was quantified against other leading composters available worldwide. Testing was also done to prove that high temperatures could be maintained in cold weather. Data from both is available at www.exaco.com/aerobin.html The Aerobin 400® is easy to use - just open, drop in materials, and close. After a short time, fertile compost is produced, which is easily accessed via the lower side doors. The Aerobin 400® also captures excess liquid in a reservoir at the base that can be used as nutritious fertilizer for plants. You can regularly put a mixture of wet materials such as food scraps, coffee grounds and lawn clippings together with dry materials such as leaves, twigs and newspaper into the bin. Because it breaks down material so much more efficiently, the 113 gallon bin always has plenty of room for the average family…unlike similar sized bins without the Aerobin® features.
Suggested retail price Aerobin 400® is $399. An extension is available to increase the bin size to 165 gals. Total cost $549. And in March, 2011 a smaller 53 gal. version will be available for $249. Find Aerobin® on major websites, such as: Compostbins.com, HomeDepot.com, Amazon.com, EuropeanGarden.com or ask for it at your local garden center.
Please contact Andrew Cook or Barbara Emerson for more information about the family of Aerobin® composters and how their highly efficient, cutting edge technology makes it the only composter anyone, anywhere, will ever need.
