Get to know Ed Begley Jr. of Envirolet.
What are you going to speak about at the MOTHER EARTH NEWS FAIR? When and where?
I’m going to speak on how people can save money, simplify their lives, clean up the air in our cities and reduce our dependency on mid-east oil – in other words, things we can ALL agree upon. I’m going to talk about how I’ve done these things and what has worked for me.
What are you most looking forward to sharing with FAIR attendees?
My 41 year journey of sustainable living – and how I not only saved energy and resources but I also saved Money!
What are you most looking forward to at the FAIR?
Meeting new people with new and fresh ideas about preserving our environment.
Tell us about your background with your particular topic.
I’ve been living sustainably since 1970 and have served on numerous boards and committees of environmental and sustainable living groups and associations.
Why should fairgoers attend your presentation?
We’ll have some laughs, tell some stories of sustainable living, and hopefully everyone will be a little bit more motivated to go out and try some of this stuff and save some dough.
How will you get to the FAIR, and how far do you have to travel?
Sadly, I must fly there, as I have an event for Tree People on June 4th in L.A., but I will purchase a carbon offset for this trip, as I do whenever I fly.
What advice do you have for attendees?
Live Simply, So That Others May Simply Live.
If you were stranded on a deserted island and could have only one thing, what would you choose?
A library.
Thanks, Ed. We’ll see you at the FAIR!
