News about the health and beauty of the natural world that sustains us.
This little North American Gray Tree Frog has come down from the trees to pose on a finger tip, which shows how little he is. With his great big eyes, he stares off into the camera. When you see animals up close like this, you get a greater sense of their size, texture and personality. Frogs are one of my favorite animals. They not only look cute, but there are so many different types each one is interesting.
The North American Gray Tree Frog, as I said, is small, measuring anywhere from 1 to 2 inches in length. The small frog might even live in your area. They live in woodland areas from Ontario to Maine and farther south to Texas and Florida. I also found this sample of a North American Gray Tree North American Gray Tree Frog call.
And in case you missed a previous photo of a frog, check out Photo of the Week: Froggy Find.
Each week the Photo of the Week is taken from that week’s submissions. So, keep submitting your photos every week to the CU photo-sharing site. You have to submit every week for a chance to be the Photo of the Week! But you could see be featured in the magazine sometime!
Remember to fill out the captions and give your gallery a name all its own. The more we know about an image, the more we can take from it. I know I enjoy reading about the different animals, especially when they all have fun names.
