Photo of the Week: Flying Friend

dragonflyA quick click by CU photographer rachyjean allowed her to catch this dragonfly. Even though it's poised on the iron post, it looks as if it could fly off at any moment. It takes great skill and patience to sneak up on a tiny critter like this. She is so close you can even see the glimmer of spider webs in the background.

Thanks for sharing your pictures with us, rachyjean. For more photos from this CU photographer, check out her work in My Gallery. She captures everything from giraffes to snowy mountaintops.

Keep sharing your photos on the CU photo-sharing website. You could be the next photo of the week. While you're there, don’t forget to look at other CU photos and rate them. Happy photo taking!
