Farming Syrup Trees: Maple Sugaring and More

Maple sugaring is the ancient practice of tapping sugar maples for their sap before boiling it down into syrup, and it’s an excellent way to extend the forest farming season.

Syrup bucket
A spun aluminum bucket and lid, the traditional Canadian-style bucket. Used metal buckets can be purchased for a reasonable price but are increasingly hard to find.
