We live in a neighborhood where chickens are not exactly welcomed, but they are not specifically prohibited. So we decided the best course of action was to keep our feathered friends out of sight.

The original plan was to use a small chicken tractor that would only be moved in the backyard, but then the solution hit me as I was mowing. Every time we mow, we have to move our children’s trampoline. We placed chicken wire around the base, and voilà: a large, comfortable and camouflaged chicken enclosure that keeps our hens hidden in plain sight.
