We've been trying to figure out which are the best apples to buy and grow.

Our fig obsession gets a little deeper with the addition of a new Celeste fig and plans for future figs.

Win a free chicken waterer by entering our Fun Chicken Photo contest.

Meat rabbit homesteaders will find our recent guest post on different methods of feeding rabbits useful.

Anna Hess and Mark Hamilton have been eating fresh figs a few times each week for the last month. They blog about figs and other homesteading topics at a place they call WaldenEffect.org. If you've got chickens then they would like to sell you a new type of  chicken waterer they make and sell that provides poop free water in a much more elegant manner compared to the old fashioned bell style.
