“ECHO Bear Cat continuously strives to design machines that fit the ever changing needs of the Outdoor Power Equipment Industry and its consumers,” said ECHO Bear Cat Director, Dale Winkelman. “The towing safety of our products is just as important as the cutting edge construction and quality design we employ into our entire line of products. The NATM certification assures our customers that they are purchasing one of the best built and safest products in the industry.”
To receive certification, NATM members must pass a stringent audit verifying that they build quality trailers meeting Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. (FMVSS) These standards cover certification labels, tires & wheels, brake components, lighting, reflectors, under ride protection and cargo payload issues. In addition, NATM certified trailers meet and exceed accepted industry manufacturing standards and practices covering safety chains, couplers, electrical components, warning labels and consumer information.
The NATM was founded in 1987 to represent manufacturers that produce light and medium duty trailers. The association is organized to promote, both to the industry and to the public, a universal recognition of safety and quality in the trailer manufacturing industry. Since its inception, NATM has worked to improve the trailer industry through the promotion of compliance with Federal Safety Regulations and selected industry standards.
