Last week, we introduced you to one of Wood-Mizer‘s 2009 Personal Best contest winners, Donn Saindon, who built a home for his family in Idaho using reclaimed wood and his Wood-Mizer portable sawmill. This week, we’re featuring a project by Robert Craig, who built this barn for less than $5,000!

Craig’s barn sits on 90 acres of land in coastal Oregon. By logging and milling all of the 20,000 board feet of lumber he used (with the help of his Wood-Mizer LT40 Super Hydraulic sawmill), he estimates that he saved around $25,000.

The barn is constructed from Douglas Fir. Its frame is 8-by-8 post-and-beam construction, and the finished product has a 960 square foot interior.

Don’t forget to check back soon for another impressive Wood-Mizer Personal Best contest winner.
