The Columbia Basin Goat Guild will be holding a full-day workshop May 14, 2011, in Centerville, Wash. Titled “Goat Academy,” this will be one of the most comprehensive programs in the Northwest. Attendees will be participating in hands-on lessons covering a variety of goat-related topics. A partial list includes hoof care and trimming, tattoo, ear tags, banding, blood draws, tube feeding, FEC analysis, shearing, fiber assessment, pack goats, harness goats, milking, show fitting, meat and dairy, genetics and more.
