Chocolate turkey with apple leather and tomato spears

We learned about Chocolate Turkeys this past week during a tour of a local breeding farm.

Our forest garden experiment continues to teach us new things. Some of those lessons helped guide us in a new direction.

Have you ever wondered if there was an easier way to plant into a kill mulch? Maybe the things we've learned can help you save some time.

Anna Hess and Mark Hamilton enjoy homesteading a little bit more each day. They share some of those stories at their WaldenEffect.org blog along with several pictures of the action. They make and sell and new kind of chicken waterer that effectively adapts industrial poultry watering technology for the back yard chicken keeper.
