It’s here! We’re excited to launch a new digital tool to help you sort through the various chicken breeds. It’s fun, practical and loaded with photos. The new Pickin’ Chicken iPhone/iPad app describes 75 chicken breeds and helps you choose the breeds that are just right for you. Robert Plamondon is right. Choose calmer, easily worked with breeds, and if you have near neighbors, choose quiet breeds that don't fly over the fences. Barred Rocks really are the gold standard for temperament - and also for backyard birds that don't cause neighbor issues.
