Those coops are just beautiful but many are looking for ways to build cheap backyard chicken coops. If you build you own coop you can do it using common and inexpensive materials. There are a lot of designs and plans out there. One place to start planning is: http://buildchickencoopz.com

Your coop winner was found by us in a powell's book (chicken coops)and has brought us to the decision we will start building a cord wood chicken coop very close to the one show. A beautiful and inspiring hen house!

These are lovely coops! I wish more people would realise that coops can be attractive and add to the urban landscape in a positive way. Check out my struggle for Backyard Chickens in Wake Forest at www.wfchickens.blogspot.com Em

Check out backyardchickens.com We got our first chicks a few weeks ago and that's when I registered there. The people are SO friendly and there's wonderful info on there. Good luck and have fun with your chickens. They are a blast to have! :D
