Just about everyone wants to save money on gas. Choosing an electric or hybrid-electric car, or a fuel-efficient gas or diesel vehicle, will conserve energy and save you money on fuel. And in theory, selecting a fuel-efficient car is simple, right? All you have to do is look for a vehicle that gets great gas mileage. fuel-efficient cars

But when you actually go shopping for a car, fuel economy is almost never the only factor you look at — you also want to find a car that meets your specific needs. Price is always an important consideration, as is safety, and the size and functionality of the vehicle. When you start looking at all the variables, it can feel overwhelming. But don’t get discouraged! Taking a little time to find the most fuel-efficient vehicle that works for you is worth it, and there’s some terrific information online that can help you put all the pieces together quickly and easily.

A good first stop is this resource from the U.S. Department of Energy because it puts all the relevant information in one place. If you’re not sure where to start, you can browse by vehicle type, or check out the list of best and worst gas mileage for vehicles of each size class. You can also look up any specific vehicle that you’re interested in, including both new and used vehicles. You’ll immediately see a photo of the vehicle and the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) numbers on average mpg. When available, the price information is also right up front.

However, as you go in deeper, and keep clicking through menus, there’s a lot of other good information available. For electric vehicles, you get the mpg equivalent and kilowatt-hours per mile, plus useful information on vehicle range and recharge time. For all vehicles, you get helpful specifications, such as total passenger volume and cargo space, plus the EPA’s air pollution scores, and safety ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Some of this information is also available on other government websites, so if you’re not finding the safety information you want, you can find even more information here from the U.S. Department of Transportation. For model years of 2012 and before, you may also want to check out the EPA’s Green Vehicle Guide. These pages include environmental info on each vehicle, including ratings on how much air pollution and greenhouse gases each one produces. Starting with the 2013 models, this information is now found here.

Truly said whenever we plan to buy a car we always think of buying a efficient one. But we always end up having a car which drink gallons of gas and the only region is that when we reach to a dealer we want to have a car which is good looking, good interior, safe, having good space inside etc. And hence we instead of having an efficient car we end up having a car which have other attributes but isn't efficient. We should focus more on fuel efficiency and try to get a hybrid car or an EV that is the right choice for a car owner. Even the Car Repairing cost of these cars are much lesser then the ordinary cars.

Buying a car is the most difficult thing for the customers. They always look for the most convenient and suitable car for them. For a common man price should be suitable along with the good features. As we know that fuel prices are rising day by day, so one can opt for fuel efficient car as it causes less pollution and also buying an electric car can be a good thought as it is also very efficient car. But the car servicing and repairing should be done in good service center.

After a long time I have just read an article whose imagination is completely matched to a normal people imagination. Great thought man. Before commenting something first I have to say a big thanks to you for this article. Yes, it is true that every one tries to save money and for gas filling or fuel filling it is an obvious yes. Every one prefers a fuel efficient vehicle as well as a vehicle that provides great millage. But, sometimes because of some problem in cars engine or in other parts the car does not able to provide that much millage and if proper care not taken then it may lead to minimize the millage in proper interval of time. So, when such thing come in to our consideration it is good for us to get it repaired from a good repair center. I have faced the same problem for my Infiniti and I have visited a good Infiniti repair center in Winston-Salem because I stay here and get my car repaired. After the repair and servicing it is providing better millage and is running smoothly. So, proper care and maintenance of a vehicle can provide better service to us.

Everybody now-a-days is searching for a fuel-efficient car. For the same the electric cars are the invention of branded car makers. But, as we go through it we can know that electric cars are not the exact solution what we look for. A very good as well as an important thing mentioned here that when we are supposed to buy a car, we have to not only consider small issues we have to check whether its price is affordable by us or not, whether its functionalities meet our requirements or not, what mileage does it give and many more facts. After considering all these things we have to purchase our car. After having a car, to get proper service and benefits from it we have to do proper servicing of our car in proper time interval and when we notice any bug in our car it is preferable to do its repair as soon as possible from a good repair center near to us. Once I have faced problem in my Mercedes engine so immediately I searched and went for a Mercedes Mechanic Los Angeles and get my car repaired.
