Video: A Nice Little House Made Out of a Garbage Can

Robyn Griggs Lawrence thumbnailGregory Kloehn has taken dumpster diving to a new level. In trying to “break down what a home can be,” the Berkeley, California-based artist has been building homes, offices and studios out of storage containers. His most recent project is a dumpster outfitted with granite countertops, hardwood floors and full kitchen and running water. While it’s certainly not for everyone, Kloehn’s unconventional renovation proves that “a nice little house” can be made out of a garbage can. (I’m resisting the Oscar the Grouch jokes.)
