Morton Buildings Project Applies for LEED Platinum Certification

Morton Buildings, provider of machine storage, horse barns, homes and commercial facilities, is pleased to announce the Beachton Dental Center, a Morton Buildings project, is now a candidate for LEED Platinum certification. This project started when the practice’s owner, Dr. William McFatter, wanted to move his denture clinic from a small office into a place where he could provide a more comfortable, peaceful and healing environment for his patients.

By focusing on environmentally friendly building practices and components, including solar panels, LED lighting, double-paned windows, triple wall insulation and a cutting edge air conditioning system, the building was able to apply for Platinum certification. However, without the well-built, tight building shell Morton constructed for the facility, it would not be as efficient and inviting as it now is for patients. In fact, the dental clinic recently received the Building of the Year award from the National Frame Building Association. This project was one of 12 buildings constructed by Morton that received this honor.

Morton Buildings is a proud ENERGY STAR partner and also employs LEED Accredited Professionals to assist customers looking to achieve certification. Whether a customer is looking to achieve a specific goal with the efficiency of their building or just wants to reduce their utility costs and carbon footprint, Morton Buildings has the experience and resources to achieve their goals.

Morton Buildings is dedicated to delivering exceptional products and service. Morton handles a wide range of projects and has a building for every budget, style and use. With over 100 construction centers in 36 states, Morton buildings can be found across the country.  For more information and to find the Morton Buildings construction center near you, visit www.mortonbuildings.com.
