A Year in the Round -- Finally. A fire pit.

This weekend I *finally* found the motivation to dig my silly little fire pit in the tipi. Beforehand I was just making little fires on the ground and watching them go out. I had no idea it was so difficult to maintain tiny fires. But now at least I can watch them go out in a good-looking little hole.

Here you can see my new Chacos modeling my little hole of rocks. Part of the pit is made of limestone that I "rescued" from a construction site dumpster at work. These rocks used to be a building, and now they're part of mine.

 Love my Chacos

Hope this late-summer weekend was extraordinary for everyone. I spent a lot of mine enjoying the beautiful curves in the earth.   :)

"Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one when there is not another to lift him up. Furthermore, if two lie down together they keep warm, but how can one be warm alone? And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A chord of three strands is not quickly torn apart". Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 (The third chord is God's Spirit-to bind together, braid three chords starting with a knot: each bends to the other in a partnership of love. Pull and see each strand bonds closer to the other).
