About two years ago we sold a chinchilla to a nice family. Last week they took it to school for show and tell. Well it niped a student. The mother called us in a panic and didn't know what to do. The school wanted her to have it checked for rabies Which means killing it and having its brains checked at a lab. The school also called the State Dept. of health. We told her to contact a older Vet. that we have done lots of buisness with he is Very level headed. He called The University for small animals clinic. And they told him there was really nothing to worry about. To make a long story short Think twice before bring pets to school.
