Postal Guy,I see that you joined today, as did I .Welcome from a fellow newbie! Never heard of peas in a pillowcase but I've always failed miserably at blanching anything and so just wash, pat dry,and freeze. Most fruits and veggies thaw out in good (edible) condition.Generations before ours had faith in their own trials and lived to tell about them.We should all listen,no?  I think I'll try this but with green beans. If you experiment, please share your results.PS are you clerk or carrier?

My father-in-law said his mother used to freeze their peas in a pillow case. No washing, no blanching, just wash what you use out of the freezer. Anyone hear of this too? Sure would make it easy for me. Thanks
