I was doing some welding and some some laser cutting before going into the house to eat... by the time I came back out to the garage the fire was too big for me to put out. I came close to putting it out, however the second fire extinguisher I grabbed was empty.

Insurance payed me for the buildings and that payed off the house loan, the HELOC and all of my credit card dept.

I'm moving forward with a concentrated solar research project and have a partner that will pay for the machining of the fixtures and for the development of the electronics and software.

Right now I am wondering how they base Solar cell efficiency on?

Does it really mean that a 35% cell will put out 350 watts per square meter?  FYI: These 35% efficient cells I am looking at are designed for 200 suns.

PS: This forum software still sucks. I have to edit the text in a email, spell check it there, copy the text and then type one char in the box so that it will then accept the text paste.

My garage and part of my house burned down over memorial day weekend.

Unfortantly my solar tough, ground source heat pump, hot water heaters with built in heat exchangers. all are rubble now.

I am starting a new solar project, however things will take some time.
