You will have some fighting until a new "pecking" order is established. Usually hens don''t do to much damage to each other in these fights.

If you haven''t gotten them already might I suggest one more thing... don''t WATCH! patrick is right.. they won''t do too much damage, but it isn''t pretty. And if you do get chicks or younger birds, keep a close eye at first.

Sorry to blow up this forum with posts but...

Like we've said below, were getting 3 mutt polts this saturday to start our flock. Thankfully we have a pretty big coop and run so once things get going and we figure this whole thing out i'd like to get some more chickens and increase our output. however, I've heard that it can be a problem to add new adult chickens to a group of already established adult chickens. Will I have a hen fight on my hands?
