I plan on retiring in ten .years .. I have lived in many places from Seattle, Idaho, Joplin louisiana and mostly Tulsa. My wife is from the Philippines and wants to live within driving distance from saltwater. I'm looking for ideas, doesn't matter if cold or warm weather, of good areas to move that are fertile for garden. Plan on raising small farm animals. Have not decided if off the grid or solar tied to grid. Economical areas that I might be able to afford. Thanks. Ok I'm editing. Afford is a relative statement. I am looking to purchase a lot for around 30 grand, and self financing home and solar over the next ten years. Need at least 2 acres as that is what we have now and it's the minimum we would need. We are open to just about anything.
