Just went to Lowes and purchased a little air duct work, went to Wally World and bought a 8"inch electric fan ($10.00), cut a hole in the living room floor of our log cabin- assembled the duct work to the fan about a foot off the cellar floor - turned on the fan and the house is a easy 10 degrees cooler with a minimum of electric and effort.  The temperature in the cellar is about 65 degrees so bringing the cool air up has cooled the entire cabin.  Husband wanted to spend the $6,000 for an entire airconditioning unit and duct work.   Instead spent $50.00 and all is now well.   sjp
