Stuffed peppers Options

Hi Gem! I used to have a recipe for stuffed peppers, but don't know where it is now. It's been quite some time since I used it. But I remember that it called for graound beef and you stuffed the peppers with raw meat. I know I could cook them in the oven or the microwave. I don't know why ground turkey wouldn't work, as long as you make sure the meat is thoroughly cooked before you serve it.

Most salsas don't use vinegar, but they shoud be canned in a pressure canner because of the non acidic veggies.

HI All:

I cooked the turkey first then mixed with the rice and spices,maybe I goofed,but thats how I learn.The peppers were from our garden and the ground turkey is cheaper than ground beef,tastes better also.Thanks for the tips.

Hi there,

I would like to stuff and freeze bell peppers.These would be the big red ones.Can I use ground turkey and should it be cooked first.Also what else besides rice and meat can I had ,such as spices.I am also making salsa.I have fresh salsa receipes that doesnt use vinegar,can this be canned or do I have to use one with vinegar?Thanks for any help.
