I got my 1 day old chicks a week ago, and from what I can see , they are doing fine. I have kept them warm, but didn't realize that it is suggested to keep then at 90 degrees.  Now I know that there little pen has not gotten below 70 but it has not stayed 90  degrees.  Have I done something bad, that will hurt them?

Carolkay,

Your post makes your chicks more than a week old, hope they are doing ok? When we raised chicks we had a brooder, was a sheet metal shaped cone about 4 ft across, stood on legs about 6 inch off the floor, the top was flat, had holes that you could open and close to regulate temp, a light bulb hung down in the center, we kept a thermometer to see if temp was ok, you can still get these or you could make your own.
