Wild foods and medicines are common across the region. This workshop will explain how to find and use some of the most common ones, a history of their use by Native Americans, and how we can incorporate them into our lives today.
Kelly Kindscher grew up on the Plains of Kansas and Nebraska and is now recognized as one of the regional experts on wild plants and their uses. He is a professor in Environmental Studies at the University of Kansas and conducts research on native plants, medicinal plants and conservation biology.
