Workshop Description
Turkeys have quirky personalities and can be a lot of fun to raise, but it's important to know some basics before you start. Victoria Miller will discuss reasons for raising turkeys, breed considerations, predator concerns, housing and nutritional needs, and more. There will be plenty of question-and-answer time as well.

Victoria Miller and her husband, David, have raised heritage breed ducks, turkeys and chickens since 2007. Their off-grid farm is located in the foothills of the Olympic mountains in northwest Washington state. Victoria is a writer whose first book on heritage poultry is due to be published in 2013.
