Scott Davis has used, worked on, built, designed, operated, repaired, sold and generally fooled around with microhydro technology for decades. He was a founder and president of an award-winning renewable energy project development company, Yalakom Appropriate Technology, and a founder of an energy nonprofit organization, Friends of Renewable Energy B.C. He is the author of two books about this technology: Microhydro: Clean Power From Water, a how-to book, and Serious Microhydro: Water Power Solutions From the Experts, an anthology with more than 70 case studies. He lives in Victoria, B.C.
