Workshop Description
Chris Chisholm will share his favorite fire-making techniques, which will make your woodstove and campfire experience much easier. From his "bed and pillow" technique to the classic "tipi fire," learn which styles are best for certain circumstances (including pouring rain). Then receive instruction on using the traditional "bow-drill" method of lighting fire-by-friction, as well as hand-drills, fire-plows, fire-piston, fire-steel, flint-and-steel, and more.

Speaker Bio
Chris Chisholm is founder of Wolf Camp and the Wolf College, an outdoor educational institute in Puyallup, Wash., with programs nationwide. He runs Wolf Camp and Wolf College together with his wife, Kim. Chris Chisholm grew up in northern Minnesota, spent his high school years in Europe and some of his college years in South America, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1991 before moving to Washington.
