Workshop Description
This workshop will teach you everything you need to know about inputs for organic production, including fertilizers, pest controls and livestock products. The presentation will include information for beginners and experts alike, and will include in-depth explanations of Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) listings and national organic standards.
Speaker Bio
Amber Lippert holds a degree in agriculture from Oregon State University and has credits toward a master's in agriculture education. As a student, she worked in the OSU horticulture department assisting with breeding, seed saving and field trials of open-pollinated broccoli and other field crops. Her professional experience includes seven years of work on organic and transitional farms in Oregon and Washington, including coordinating successful transitions to organic certification. Lippert has also worked and studied on farms in Latin America and Hawaii. She continues to grow vegetables and raise laying hens on her family farm.
