Calling all spinners, knitters, weavers and crocheters: It’s time to put your fiber arts skills to the test! Enter your creations in the Fiber Arts Competition for a chance to win fabulous prizes from

All entrants will receive one free full weekend pass to the FAIR!
Entries will be judged in four categories: Spinning, Weaving, Knitting and Crocheting. One first place winner will be chosen from each category, and one grand prize winner will be chosen from all entries.
Your fiber contest judges will be Linda Cortright, editor of Wild Fibers Magazine; Alison Martin, research and technical program director of the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy; and Niki Kuklenski, co-owner of JNK Llamas.
Submission Guidelines
Entrants may place up to 3 items in the Fiber Arts Competition, and each item may be entered in multiple categories. For example, a crocheted shawl made with handspun yarn may be entered in both the Spinning and Crochet categories.
Crochet, Knitting and Weaving entries may be made with any type of yarn. Spinning entries may be made with any type of fiber. There are no length or weight requirements on skeins entered in the Spinning category.
Items entered in the competition must be completed between June 1, 2012 and June 1, 2013.
All entrants must be FAIR attendees. Mail-in entries will not be accepted. Entrants must be present to win.
All participants must register online no later than Friday, May 24, 2013. On-site registrations will not be accepted. Entries must be turned in for display on-site between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2013, to be eligible for judging, and may be picked up between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Sunday, June 2.
Grand Prize Package
One grand prize winner will be chosen from all entries. The grand prize package is valued at more than $250, and includes a one-year subscription to Wild Fibers Magazine, a one-year subscription to MOTHER EARTH NEWS, and the following titles from Storey Publishing:
