Workshop Description
This workshop will offer solutions to carbon-and-water footprint food production in climates that are getting hotter and drier. Gary Nabhan will suggest climate-friendly crops, pollinator-attracting plants and soil management practices to survive heat spells and drought.
Speaker Bio
Gary Paul Nabhan has been nationally recognized as a pioneer in the heirloom seed movement and in food relocalization initiatives. His 24 books about food and farming have won numerous awards. He is the Kellogg Endowed Chair in Sustainable Food Systems at the University of Arizona.
