Bring your potential microhydro site data to be used as an example. Learn what you need to know about how to develop energy using small water-powered alternators. Vital to anyone with a possible microhydro site in mind, the workshop also conveys important energy insights of interest to activists, policymakers and anyone with a stake in how we get and use energy.
Scott Davis has used, worked on, built, designed, operated, repaired, sold and generally fooled around with microhydro technology for decades. He was a founder and president of an award-winning renewable energy project development company, Yalakom Appropriate Technology, and a founder of an energy nonprofit organization, Friends of Renewable Energy BC. He is the author of two books about this technology: Microhydro: Clean Power from Water (the “how to do it” book), and Serious Microhydro: Water Power Solutions from the Experts, an anthology with more than 70 hard-to-find case studies enabling “education by example.” He lives in Victoria, British Columbia.
