During this workshop, you will discover how to use these concentrated oils to make your own cleaning formulas, all-natural skin care products, aromatherapy applications, room deodorizers, medicinal preparations, and much more. Erin McIntosh will also discuss important topics like how these oils are produced, determining oil quality, blending techniques, and safety issues around ingesting essential oils and how to properly do a patch test. Samples will be passed around, to experience aromatic bliss!
Herbal Medicine Making Basics
Erin McIntosh is the marketing manager at Mountain Rose Herbs, where she gets to create herbal recipes and write about their healing properties each day. She completed a two-year herbalism, botany and ethical wildcrafting apprenticeship at the Columbines School of Botanical Studies in Eugene, Ore. She spends her free hours making botanical illustrations, playing in the garden, creating culinary gems, and formulating medicine in the magnificent Oregon Cascades.
