Using Chickens to Detect West Nile Virus

The Center for Disease Control are using chickens to detect West Nile virus. Chickens are immune to the West Nile virus, positive results in the fowl show whether infected mosquitoes are in the area. Originally published as "Fowl Play" October/November 2000 MOTHER EARTH NEWS.
