A fun, easy way to learn do-it-yourself and construction skills is to volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. While you’re gaining valuable skills and knowledge, you’ll help a worthwhile cause: providing affordable housing for those who are willing to contribute “sweat equity.” Habitat offers a variety of volunteer opportunities for those with all levels of experience (or inexperience).
