Check out this video to find out how you can get everything in your home sparkling with food. Items you already have in the cupboard—vinegar, baking soda and lemon—are all you need to clean anything and everything in your home. Acidic vinegar kills some germs and microbes; dilute it with warm water (the strength depends on the job) and use this solution to cut grease, lime deposits and soap buildup. Baking soda is your scouring powder; you can use it to remove smudges and scuffs anywhere. It’s also an odor neutralizer, which makes it great for pet smells and carpets. Salt and lemon are natural disinfectants. Try covering tough stains with salt and then rubbing with a cut lemon.
