‘Storage Wars’ Shows Repurposing Hard Core

As I wrote about on my website, The Green Living Guy, never in a million years would I think a show about storage auctions could be so amazing, edgy and really bringing going green to the masses. Yet, it made sense one day while watching the show. 

For those that don’t know, the show Storage Wars is a cable TV reality show on A&E Network; which stands for Arts and Entertainment. It started in 2010 and shows auctioneers Dan Dotson and Laura Dotson, as well as auction hunters Dave Hester, Darrell Sheets, Barry Weiss, and the team of Jarrod Schulz and Brandi Passante. The premise is: 

When rent is not paid on a storage unit (like the one is just linked to and who provided the picture. Yes, there are millions of them but I found this one online and decided it works!) for three months in California, the contents are sold by an auctioneer as a single lot of items. The show follows professional buyers who purchase the contents based only on a five-minute inspection of what they can see from the door when it is opened. The goal is to turn a profit on the merchandise.
